What funds do the congregation have to help anyone these days? Here in the UK the congregation is only allowed to retain 3 months operating expenses, anything they have over and above this has to be sent to the Branch Office each month.
Prior to this change our congregation had thousands of pounds in the bank, even after sending bequests to the society. There would have been funds to help needy ones. Those days are gone. The big asset strip made sure of that.

mia was almost 8 and she was the sweetest dog who was my girlfriend’s constant companion.
she had a wonderful disposition and was just a source of joy to everyone who would meet her.. she was brought to the vet on thursday and seemed to have digestive issues.
the vet gave her medicine and said it would make her sleepy.
Losing a pet is like losing a member of the family, in some cases worse as you usually see your pet every day.
The WT people have no comprehension of this however and discourage pet ownership.

this whole "zoom" thing has got me wondering whether some of it is legal or not.
if a person has to dress up for a zoom meeting the way the watchtower dictates, doesn't this really go "beyond" cult?.
even the cults who committed mass suicide were able to dress the way they wanted for their meetings.
Suppose you have the virus and are sick in bed in your nightshirt....and you want some entertainment in your misery so you plug on.....you going to be harassed for no knee length skirt and turtleneck? Or suit and tie?
If you are in bed feeling unwell the last thing you want to do is connect to a meeting! That will put you back a week at least.

The host also has the option to record these meetings which may be a problem for many people.
Any of the participants can also record the meeting though from what I understand the permission of the host is needed. I'm sure anyone could think of reason they need to record the show.

not only do they want everyone dressed up for the zoom meetings( which i won't do) they decided to keep the zoom meeting at 1pm sunday!
so they don't upset their spiritual routine!

I've heard of some congregations holding meetings for field service via Zoom on Saturday & Sunday mornings while rank & file are homebound...seriously! Talk about getting dressed with nowhere to go!🤣
They do that at my congregation too. They have a zoom meeting on Saturday morning and also midweek. All must get dressed as if going out in service and after a short talk and prayer they all log off and do their service by telephone or email letter writing. As mentioned in a recent letter you can direct people to the Awake 2016 No. 6 on line about Disease and how to reduce the risk. A "placement" can be counted for each such call and a RV if appropriate.
Some people reckon this is a cult!!!!!

what about accurate counts for attendees?
what challenges do you see?
As we are all on ZOOM I suppose we will have to raise our glass to the camera jobby while someone is assigned to count those that partake and those that don't!
